Welcome to the BFF section (previously named the PSA - parents, staff association).
The BFF plays a very active part in the schools and over the last few years, with the support of the staff, they have been able to help develop lots of projects at school.
Throughout the school year the BFF organises many fun events for both parents and children. We hope that during your time at the schools you will enjoy our events. Our main events are our Christmas and Summer Fairs which have proved in the past to be our biggest fundraisers and are always well attended. During the last year, the BFF has been able to help fund new books for the library, playground equipment, support the school choir with transport to the O2 and has make a significant contribution to the whole school pantomime trip at Christmas. We are lucky to have dedicated parents and school staff on the BFF playing an active part in school life and working hard to make a real difference to our children’s school.
The Summer Term is when we hold our biggest event of the year and host the joint summer fair with Bushey & Oxhey Infants. There is always lots to do and we welcome any support; from ideas and planning, to running a stall, painting faces or making cakes. The more people that volunteer their skills and time to the event, the more money we will raise to benefit the school.
The BFF team is made up of parents with children who currently attend Bushey and Oxhey Infants and Bushey Manor. Being a member of the BFF is hard work but it is also very rewarding and enjoyable. If you are a parent or guardian of a child at the school, and would like to become a member then please give your name to the School Office and come along to our AGM where we will be happy to see you. Alternatively if you would like to help at events then please put your name on our helpers list.
Helping the BFF is very rewarding, and being part of it gives parents a chance to give something back to the schools that do so much for our children. If you are a member of staff or the carer of a child at the school, and would like to be part of the BFF, then please join us for a cuppa and a chat at one of our half-termly meetings held straight after school, where we will be delighted to see you (children are also welcome). Any time you can give will be greatly appreciated, as the saying goes ‘Many hands make light work’.
