Spelling

Each week, children will be given a group of words that they need to learn. These will be stuck into their Homework Book which needs to be returned to school every Wednesday. The word list will also be uploaded to the website and Google Classroom. In order to demonstrate understanding, each word needs to be written in a sentence. Ideally, pupils should be practising every night. There will also be a selection of activities (Spelling Bingo) to choose from, that will help children to embed and retain each word.

Children will be tested on their spelling words every Thursday and new ones set on a Friday.
