A warm welcome from Mrs Lowden and Mrs Bright!

Get to know us!

Hello, I’m Mrs Lowden. 

I have been a teacher for 38 years and, can you believe it, all of those years have been at Bushey Manor and Bushey and Oxhey Infant School! In recent years, I have been teaching children in Year 3 and Year 2 but, over my career, I have been lucky enough to also teach children in Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. I have taught many siblings, but also the children of children I previously taught!

I enjoy art, both looking at it and creating my own. It’s a great way to relax and unwind. At the moment I am taking an online class on Wednesday evening; I love it!

I am passionate about nature and love going out for walks and exploring the great outdoors. Getting outside, both at home and at school, is so beneficial, for adults and children alike. It can help you feel more relaxed, which can improve your mood, and you can take part in activities which could improve your confidence and self-esteem.

Independence is something that is always encouraged in my class; within lessons and outside. Pupils are taught strategies to support their own learning and ways of resolving issues and conflicts. A life skill that is always needed.

Some of my favourite things, as well as art and getting outside, include guinea pigs (we have one at home), the colours green and purple, reading, drinking tea and spending time with my family and friends.

I am very lucky to be working with this lovely group of children annd am very excited about getting to know them and their families. I can't wait to watch them all grow and develop over the coming months and see what adventures we get up to together.

Hello, I'm Mrs Bright...

I have the privilege of being the teaching assistant to your children over the course of this year.

I have had the pleasure to work across the Federation as a teaching assistant for eight enjoyable years. I previously worked as a midday supervisor twelve years ago when my children attended, so you can see, these schools are extremely close to my heart.

My ethos is that every child should feel valued, unique and special and it’s my job to help your children develop and grow into these confident and happy children I see developing daily. I work with the children in my class by supporting their learning through daily reading and working with small groups to offer support.

You may also know me from my various clubs such as after school “Lego Club” and “ Bright Star Holiday Camps” on the school premises.

Outside of school, I love going to the theatre and comedy shows with my family. There is nothing better than getting together with my friends and loved ones on a Sunday for a roast too.  You may even see me around the local area, if so please do give me a wave!
