Hello, I'm Mrs Smart...

I have been working at Bushey Primary Federation since 2010; time flies when you’re having fun! I am looking forward to working in Year Three and sharing my love and enthusiasm of learning with the children.

I am very musical and in my spare time enjoy playing the flute and singing. I have a young daughter so have been practising my nursery rhymes constantly! I look forward to hearing the children’s musical creations this year.

In school, my favourite area to teach is reading because I love watching children’s faces the moment it all fits together. I have so many favourite books it is hard to choose just one, but it is hard to beat the magical world of Harry Potter!

Some of my other favourite things include walking, eating cake and playing with my two pet degus.

Hello, I'm Mrs Bright...

I have the privilege of being the teaching assistant to your children over the course of this year.

I’ve been a teaching assistant at Bushey and Oxhey Infant school for seven years and I have been with the school for 11 years previously a midday supervisor. Both of my children have attended the school so you can see, these schools are extremely close to my heart.

My ethos is that every child should feel valued, unique and special and it’s my job to help your children develop and grow into these confident and happy children I see developing daily. I work with the children in my class by supporting their learning through daily reading and working with small groups to offer support.

You may also know me from my various clubs such as after school “Lego club” and “ Bright Star Holiday Camps” on the school premises.

Outside of school, I love going to the theatre and comedy shows with my family. There is nothing better than getting together with my friends and loved ones on a Sunday Roast. You may even see me around the local area, if so please do give me a wave.
