Hello, I’m Miss Stevens

In a past life I was a teaching assistant for a number of years but have now been a teacher for almost 11 years. This will be my fifth year teaching at Bushey and Oxhey Infants. I have been lucky enough to teach children in Reception, Year One and Year Two since I joined and so have taught many siblings over the years.

I love stories – reading them, making them up and writing them too. The possibilities are endless! I am passionate about Phonics and the importance of securing the first steps in making children successful readers.

I enjoy learning new facts about animals, events that happened in the past and places around the world. And it's even better when we get to learn together during a topic in class.

Some of my favourite things (not forgetting reading!) include elephants, the colour purple, green apples and drinking tea!

Hello, I'm Mrs Forty

After many years working as a nursery nurse in hospitals, I decided to train as a Teaching Assistant. I enjoyed working in the older year groups but have always been drawn back to Reception. I have now been working as part of the Early Years team here for 7 years.

I love being outdoors and enjoy building up role play and stories with the children as we play and explore together. I have a passion for Art and love nothing more than getting creative and seeing what we can make. And then adding on a bit of glitter for good measure!

In my spare time I enjoy swimming, going on walks in nature with my family and drawing too. I have three children of my own and spending quality time with them are my favourite kind of weekends!

Hello, I'm Mrs Ali

I have lived and worked in many different countries around the world, and other parts of the UK too. I have now just started my fifth year working at Bushey and Oxhey Infants. After being a teaching assistant in Year Two, I am now really excited to join the fabulous Early Years team as a student teacher this year.

I am really passionate about outdoor learning and I can't wait to see what great adventures we will have together over the coming months. It's all new to me too, so us learning together will make it even more special, and fun! Water, mud, creepy crawlies - bring it on!

And this is us...

What have we been up to this week?
