Week 3: 16.11.2020

This week we have been learning: 

 

English

-We have continued looking at the traditional fable 'The Town Mouse and Country Mouse'.

-Red class have had a go at writing their own version of the story. 

-Red class had to make sure that their story had a meaning behind it as well.

-They also had to think about characters, settings and including a beginning, middle and end. 

 

Maths

-We have continued with multiplication. 

-Red class have been looking at pictorial representations and how they can represent this as a multiplication number sentence.

-Towards the end of the week we have been looking at multiplication word problems.

 

Geography

-This week we have been looking at oceans and continents. 

-Red class have labelled a world map and learnt about the 7 different continents. 

 

PHSE

-This week has been anti bullying week and Red class have been thinking about what bullying is. 

-We have had lots of circle time and discussions about how we can become united as a class and stand up to bullying and bullies. 

-We have also looked at internet safety and how we can make sure that bullying doesn't happen online as well. Red class created their own posters to help others be safe on the internet. 

 

Phonics

-Recap of Year 1 sounds and lots of alien word practise.
