Week 5 w/c 18.5.21
This week Blue Class have been learning:
English
- We read the story ‘Tad’ and predicted what might happen at the end of the story.
- We retold the story in our own words.
- We wrote letters to Tad explaining about the life cycle of a frog.
- In preparation for the live performance, we read the story ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and chose one of the main characters to describe.
- After the performance, we wrote reviews, describing our favourite part and explaining our reasons.
Maths
- We recapped on strategies to multiply and divide.
- We solved a variety of word problems involving multiplication and division.
- We found halves, quarters and thirds of a variety of shapes.
- We solved problems by finding halves, quarters and thirds of numbers.
Topic
- In science, we found out about the different stages of the life cycle of a frog.
- We thoroughly enjoyed a live performance of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and were excited but the virtual elements and the brilliant songs!
- We observed the plants we had grown and wrote about our results.
Well done on a fantastic work of learning Blue Class!
Next week we will be using the story ‘Tad’ write our own stories, and solving problems involving missing numbers in maths.
