Week 3: W/E 25th September 2020
This week we have been learning…
Maths: In maths we have been looking at counting on and back in 10’s and 100’s. We used what we had already learnt about place value to help us. We have also had our first times tables test and have started practicing on times table’s rock stars!
English: We have continued to look at poetry this week and wrote poems about the view from the wildlife garden. We also painted this view using the water colour skills we had practiced in art. Then we wrote a description about a new planet using new and exciting vocabulary that we found in the thesaurus.
Outdoor Learning Day: This week we had outdoor learning day. It was also doodle day on the 25th so we started the day with nature inspired doodles. Then we went into the woodland area and worked in groups on the challenge to create the tallest tower using sticks. After we collected natural objects to create mandalas and patterns pictures.
