Educating Today's Child For Tomorrow

Week 6: 17.05.2021

This week we have been learning:

We had an exciting start to the week when  Red were visited by a theatre production company who performed 'The Wizard of Oz'. The children ABSOLUTELY loved and it was so nice to see the children enjoying some normality again!

English

- We have been looked at the story 'Tad' by Benji Davies. We have written predictions to do with the story, retold the story in our own words and written letters to Tad reassuring him about his worries.

-We have also done a lot of work surrounding the story of 'The Wizard of Oz'. We started by writing character descriptions and then we wrote a review after the performance on Tuesday.

Maths

-We have been continuing to work on our reasoning problems.

- We started by looking at multiplication and division word problems.

-We finished the week off by looking at word problems involving fractions.

-Red class have been focusing on looking vocabulary in word problems to help aid their selection of which operation is necessary.

Science
-We wrote up our results of our plant investigation.

-Red class were able to come up with fantastic reasons to justify our findings.

-We also studied the life cycle of a frog.
