Welcome to B3!

We are a wonderful group of 30 very enthusiastic, bubbly children. Our teaching team is made up of Mrs Naughton (class teacher) and Mrs Bright and Mrs Yasir (teaching assistants).

Hello, I’m Mrs Naughton (or lots of you might know me as Miss Stevens!)

In a past life I was a teaching assistant for a number of years but have now been a teacher for almost 13 years. This will be my eighth year teaching at Bushey Primary Education Federation, with the first five years being based at the Infants. I have been lucky enough to teach children in Reception, Year One and Year Two and now Year Three since working here, so I have been lucky enough to have taught many siblings over the years.

I love stories – reading them, making them up and writing them too. The possibilities are endless! I am passionate about English and the importance of securing reading, writing and SPaG skills to support all areas of learning. I enjoy researching and learning new information, particulalry in History and Geography. It's even better when we get to learn new things together - or when the children have their own fun facts for me !

Independence is something that is always encouraged in my class; within lessons, when thinking about ways to support our own learning and when resolving issues and conflicts. A life skill that is always needed!

Some of my favourite things (not forgetting reading!) include elephants, the colour purple, green apples, drinking tea (often too much!) and spending time with my family and friends.

I am very lucky to be working with a group of children that I already know a little (how they've grown since Reception!), but also very excited to be getting to know our newer members and their families. I can't wait to watch them all grow and develop over the coming months and see what adventures we get up to together.
