This week we have been very busy!
In English we have been looking at the story of Traction Man. We started by acting out scenes of the story in small groups. We thought about what the characters might say and then we wrote the sentences in the book. We continued looking at the book and thought about writing description words. We were working on uplevelling our adjectives and thinking about different words we could use.
In Maths we have been continuing to look at multiplication and using arrays to find the answers. We completed in the Herts maths success challenge so we can work on what we understand and what we still need to work on in Summer 2.
In Art we began planning our pop art artwork. We investigated different ways of creating the work including pens, paints, pencils and crayons and we also thought about what power word we were going to use for our work next week.
On Google Classroom we have put a few activities to support the children with skip counting. We have chosen them as they are fun and can be done throughout the week for repetition as they do not take a long time to complete.
Next week
We have a production of 'The Wizard of Oz' coming to school.
We will be continuing to look at arrays in maths
We will be looking at Traction Man in English
We will be creating our Pop Art piece of artwork.
Have a lovely weekend
