Week 1
What a fantastic first week back after half term! M6 have jumped straight into another page-turning book (The Nowhere Emporium by Ross Mackenzie) and have already made initial theories/predictions and asked insightful questions around the story. They have also dived into some GCSE worthy science experiments on Osmosis and Diffusion (see attached pictures) and have explored the importance of blood once again, by looking at how it transport water and nutrients all around the body. Ask your child to explain these complex processes with Skittles and Jelly Babies! In English, the class are preparing and planning to write a diary entry from the perspective of Cameron - the main character in Pig Heart Boy - and they are tackling formal methods of the four operations in maths. Please do ask your child about the Hot-Seating activity in RE!
