Week 3: 21st June 2021

WOW it has been another busy week for Red Class!

 

This week we have been learning:

 

History

-We have been looking at modes of transport and how they have developed over time. 

-Red class are now able to justify how they know whether a piece of transport is modern or from the past. 

-We have also been looking at the significant individual 'Amelia Earhart' and her special journey. 

-We created a timeline of events for her life.

 

English

-We have recapped on the features of a newspaper.  

-We then planned our own newspaper report set in 1937. They year Amelia Earhart's plane went missing. 

-Red class then wrote their own newspaper report including all the important features. 

 

Maths

-We started the week by looking at 'finding the difference' between two numbers. 

-We have then moved onto statistics. 

-Red class have looked and how to read and interpret tally charts and carroll diagrams. 

 

PHSE

-Again we have been thinking about our transition to Bushey Manor. Red class have been thinking about their time at the Infants and what they are going to miss. 

 

Art

-Red class learnt how to manipulate and join two pieces of clay together. 

-We learnt some new vocabulary as well; scoring, joining and blending.
