Water Safety

We make use of our local area and are fortunate to have rivers and canals on our doorstep.

 

As part of our safeguarding work with the children, and during local walks and visits, we reiterate the importance of water safety.

 

Key Stage 2 children have swimming and water safety skills delivered in curriculum learning through PE, but aside from this we ask parents to reiterate messages around water safety, due to the area we live in and the risks to the children in visiting the skateboard park for example, where the river is very much in their midst.
