Welcome to Blue Class

Hello everyone, I'm Mrs Naughton!

In a previous life, some of you may have known me as Miss Stevens as I am lucky enough to have taught so many siblings over my time here across Bushey and Oxhey and Bushey Manor. 

After 5 years at the infants, I moved to the juniors for 3 years, went on maternity leave and now I'm back ready and raring to go in Year 2 again. 

I LOVE reading! It is a huge passion of mine and hope to build this love of learning amongst the children in my class too. I enjoy all types of genres and read as much as I can - which is a little trickier with a baby at home, so I guess I'll have to read lots of stories in school with all of you instead! I love being able to explore new texts through teaching English and Guided Reading. 

History is another area of the curriculum that I have enjoyed, right back to when I was at school myself! Finding out new facts, learning about different eras and what was happening in different countries at the same time. Making comparisions to life then and now and really looking at the impact that historical events have had on our lives today. Let's see what fun things we can learn together this year!

Outside of school my favourite thing to do is spend time with the people I love - my little boy, my family and my wonderful friends. I enjoy getting out in nature and finding cooking very relaxing! I try my hand at gardening but it's not always very successful!

I cannot wait to get to know you all and spend the year learning and growing together. 

Hello, I'm Mrs Bright...

I have the privilege of being the teaching assistant to your children over the course of this year.

I have had the pleasure to work across the Federation as a teaching assistant for eight enjoyable years. I previously worked as a midday supervisor twelve years ago when my children attended, so you can see, these schools are extremely close to my heart.

My ethos is that every child should feel valued, unique and special and it’s my job to help your children develop and grow into these confident and happy children I see developing daily. I work with the children in my class by supporting their learning through daily reading and working with small groups to offer support.

You may also know me from my various clubs such as after school “Lego Club” and “ Bright Star Holiday Camps” on the school premises.

Outside of school, I love going to the theatre and comedy shows with my family. There is nothing better than getting together with my friends and loved ones on a Sunday for a roast too.  You may even see me around the local area, if so please do give me a wave!
