Welcome to Blue Class

Hello! I'm Miss Phillips

This is my fifth year teaching at Bushey and Oxhey Infant School. I have always really enjoyed working in Reception classes.  I’ve had many opportunities to work in different schools and adapt my teaching based on all the Early Years approaches that I have seen.  However, last year I wanted a change and I stuck around for a second year - Hello Year 2!

I love being creative! Especially when I get a chance to spend some calm time drawing and colouring (which doesn't happen as often as I would like.) I love it when children feel confident enough to share all of their amazing creations with me.

My favourite books are those that explore emotions, feelings, and how to express ourselves. For this reason, one of my favourite authors is Tom Percival, his illustrations are perfect for explaining these complex themes in a child (and adult) friendly way!

My favourite colours (I just can't decide on one!) are purple and blue and of course everything looks better with a bit...or a lot... of glitter!

Working with children, I get this question a lot, it’s possibly the most important piece of information you will learn about me. My favourite Disney princess is - drum roll please - Mulan! I know you will all rest easy now you know this fun fact. 

Hello, I’m Ms Kalokoh

I have worked for Bushey Manor Junior School for ten years, across years 3-6. I am excited about working in year 3 again this year. I enjoy reading, walking and rollerskating at the weekends. I look forward to working with you all more closely this year.
