All About Your Teacher

Hello, I’m Mrs Lowden. I have been a teacher for 37 years and, can you believe it, all of those years have been at Bushey Manor and Oxhey Infant School! In recent years, I have been teaching children in Year 2 and Year 3 but, over my career, I have been lucky enough to also teach children in Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. I have taught many siblings, but also the children of children I previously taught!

I enjoy art, both looking at it and creating my own. It’s a great way to relax and unwind. At the moment I am taking an online class on Wednesday evening; I love it!

I am passionate about nature and love going out for walks and exploring the great outdoors. Getting outside, both at home and at school, is so beneficial, for adults and children alike. It can help you feel more relaxed, which can improve your mood, and you can take part in activities which could improve your confidence and self-esteem.

Independence is something that is always encouraged in my class; within lessons and outside. Pupils are taught strategies to support their own learning and ways of resolving issues and conflicts. A life skill that is always needed! 

Some of my favourite things, as well as art and getting outside, include guinea pigs (we have two at home), the colours green and purple, reading, drinking tea and spending time with my family and friends.

I am very lucky to be working with a group of children that I already know a little , but also very excited to be getting to know our newer members and their families. I can't wait to watch them all grow and develop over the coming months and see what adventures we get up to together.

I’m Mrs Yasir I am the Teaching Assistant in M3 I have always worked with children in different settings but have now reached to where I am and absolutely love it. I am looking forward to being part of the the children’s learning this year. I take pride in my pupils’ achievements in class.  I love supporting Reading, Maths and English I also enjoy watching them flourish throughout their learning in year 4. I look forward to the year ahead!
