Sub-committees, Panels and Project Groups of the Board 2025 - 26
A lot of the substantive work undertaken by the Governing Board is undertaken in smaller groups, such as Sub-committees, Panels and Project Groups.
Sub-committee Membership
All sub-committees are open to all Board Members and to staff across the Federation, but the following Board Members represent the postholders and the core membership of each sub-committee. Chairs are elected annually by the members of the Sub-committees and serve as Vice-chairs of the Board.

Details of fixed term Project Groups will be outlined here as these are formed.
A number of governors are trained to take part in panels designed to hear appeals and complaints. These are formed at the point of need and membership is based on the specific issue under investigation.
